We now support Azure DevOps's (formerly VSTS) Agile, CMMI and Scrum processes

We recently got some feedback from one of our users that they were very keen to use the tool — great — we thought. The user signed up and attempted to integrate their story map with Azure DevOps and got an error message:

Your Azure DevOps project is using an invalid process for Avion. You must be using the "Agile" process

Darn. The user — rightly so — headed over to our Slack community and let us know about it. And I can now say, with great pride that Avion now officially supports all Azure DevOps's process types. 🎉

We managed to turn this feature around in just under a week, which is great news, as it was a toughy. However — not only that, we added some more awesome features to play with:

Import Strategies

We were hearing from our users that they wanted to be able to start their story map with existing content from Azure DevOps. This is now possible! 🚀. Just select your import strategy when you synchronise your story map:

Mini Map

We’ve noticed that when a map gets big, it can be daunting to navigate. An obvious answer to this is zooming. We are still deciding on the best way to handle zooming, as it doesn’t play nice with being able to read the titles of things. However, we have now got a feature that might help with this — Mini Map (no idea if this is a name we will stick with, but it sounds cool for now!).

As you scroll on a larger story map, the Mini Map will appear on the right hand side of the screen, showing a viewport of where you are in the map. It takes a few tries to get used to it, but it’s super powerful to be able to see clumps of stories and open spaces, which will help remind you of where you are on the map:

We still have some work to refine the Mini Map, but we figured we should release it into the wild as soon as possible.
